Amra Kojon is a cultural organization at Providence in Rhode Island, USA which is presenting and promoting Bangla music, culture, traditions and heritage. This is an organization of a group of students, young professionals and music enthusiasts. It was founded in the 2003; and functioning started same year through a Musical program where 100 music enthusiasts showcased Thousand-year of Bangla Musical Tradition at the Kresge Auditorium, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Cambridge, MA, USA. Since then, the organization has been presented a number of musical programs in North America and UK; among them some are – Daam Diya Kinachi Bangla (in English “The Price We Paid for Our Bengal”), Gaan Amader Biswas-er Bhasha (in English “Let Music be the Language of Our Conviction”), Jibon Ganer Feriwala, Hazaar Bochorer Bangla Gaan (in English “Thousand Years of Bangla Music”), etc. Amra Kojon is mainly promoting & presenting Bangla Music and Culture through musical renditions.
