Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC):

Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) was established on April 3, 1957 aimed to preserve and promote the tradition, culture & values of Bangladesh through inspiring the film-makers and providing them various facilitates & assistance so that they can produce healthy cinema & cine culture in Bangladesh. The corporation is mostly known as ĎFDCí in the country.

Bangladesh Film Development Corporation is located at Tejgaon in Dhaka, Bangladesh. BFDC supplies a wide range of raw films; provides floor facilities for shooting; provides manpower and equipment for outdoor shooting; provides film developing, printing, editing, dubbing, raw materials, background music, sound transfer and many more facilities. Moreover, the institute undertakes various projects for the promotion of countryís film industry. Besides, the corporation takes part in various film-related events and activities at home and abroad.

FDCís first Managing Director was Abul Khaer. At present, the Governing Body of BFDC consists of eight (8) members, headed by a Chairman. From the eight members, apart from Managing Director (MD), seven (7) members are appointed directly by the Government.
