Bangladesh Photo Journalists Association:

Bangladesh Photo Journalists Association is a leading non-profit organization in Bangladesh mainly representing both the print and electronic media Photo Journalists of the country. The organization protects the interests of photographers / photojournalists in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Photo Journalists' Association (BPJA) was established by Rashid Talukder, a renowned photojournalist in Bangladesh served in "The Daily Ittefaq" for 29 years. The Head Office of BPJA is situated at Purana Paltan, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has branches in different areas of the Country. The President of Bangladesh Photojournalist Association is AKM Mohsin, and Mir Ahmed Miru (of Daily Janakantha) is the General Secretary of BPJA elected for the Session 2014-16. Every year, the Association organizes a national photography competition on the eve of Pahela Baishakh (Bangla New Year).
