Channel 16:

Channel 16 is Bangladesh’s first private satellite television channel based on ‘Music Entertainment’. This is the First (1st) Music Channel in Bangladesh. The Channel started its transmission on 16th December 2011. The then Honourable President of Bangladesh Late Zillur Rahman was the chief guest in the lunching ceremony of this Channel, and he switched the Channel 16 TV transmission on. Channel 16 promotes Bangla music and Bengali culture through broadcasting diversified programs. It is operated by Insight Telecast Company Ltd. The Channel’s coverage areas include – Asia, Africa, some parts of Europe, Middle East, UK, USA, Canada, and more. Mohammad Shouib is the Chairman of Channel 16 TV of Bangladesh.
