Dainik Prantajyoti:

Dainik Prantajyoti is the first Bengali daily newspaper of north east India. The Newspaper is published daily from Silchar, Assam. At the very outset of Prantajyoti, it was a fortnightly named ‘Jyoti’. Jyoti started journey on January 12, 1957. Afterwards it became a weekly newspaper. Finally, Jyoti became Dainik Prantajyoti. Under the dynamic leadership of veteran journalist Paresh Dutta, Dainik Prantojyoti’s first issue was published on May 9, 2009.
