Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha (JSS):

Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha (JSS) was founded on February 12, 1982 as a non-profit journalists’ association in Bangladesh. JSS is one of the prominent organizations of its kind in the country. Its founder and present President is Muhammad Altaf Hussain, a senior journalist of Bangladesh. JSS draws journalists from electronic & print media and other relevant news organizations. Currently, Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha has included nearly 6000 journalists as its members. It works for the well-being of its members, and promotes the profession. In order to improve fair professional practices and strength relationship among the journalists, it often organizes training programs, workshops, discussion meetings, technical courses, sports events, cultural events etc.

Jatiya Sangbadik Sangstha (JSS) regularly publishes a professional newsletter named ‘Kalam Sainik’. The affairs of this organization are mainly managed by an executive committee consists of thirty-five (35) members. Moreover, it has a Standing Council consists of 15 members, and General Assembly of 121 members. They promote and care all the activities of JSS. It welcomes all the journalists and media men to be members of this association.
